Fourth of July party dress?

Probably it’s too late to ask this. I am 58-years-old and a fairly confident woman in my appearance and dress. We are going to a casual 4th of July party in a few hours and several of my friends who I saw at the cc we belong to were talking last night about what they are wearing, i.e., red, white & blue. I hadn’t even thought of what I would wear. Wearing rw&b seems a little…can’t think of the right word…but almost juvenile to me…something more like our kids and grandkids would do. So here’s what I’m thinking and I’d like any feedback or suggestions. White linen pants, white sleeveless linen shirt, worn out. With this outfit I’d wear navy blue patent leather sandals and a chunky red and silver bracelt. Or, I have a pair of dark navy capris with cuffs (not denim but sort of that look). I could wear those with the same white linen blouse and red bracelet and red woven sandals. I feel a little silly asking, but hey, what are friends for?

I like the second outfit you described. Unless you think you’ll be too hot, but the other one just seemed too white. Either way, it won’t look like you are trying too hard to wear red, white and blue. Sounds fashionable and not tacky like a shirt with the American flag on it.
