women,if your husband bought you costume jewelry as Christmas present ,how would you feel about it?
Or if he purchased your engagement ring from the pawn shop or brand new costume jewelry, how would you feel about it?
Remember a lot of you said it was the thought that counts?
i would feel fine about getting costume jewelry — as long as it would be done with some thought.
for example — my husband is a scientist who specializes in DNA. he bought be DNA helix strand earrings made of silver. i thought they were cool, and i am so proud of him that i wear them with pride.
the only problem i would have with my ring being purchased at a pawn shop is that i believe in karma. what if the engagemet ring belonged to a divorced couple? i wouldn’t want that negative energy around my ring. instead, we got an aquamarine (NOT a diamond) and had the ring designed by a brooklyn NYC designer. now THAT thought counted!
