How much should this Engagement Ring cost?

I am buying a loose diamond for an engagement ring. I have done my homework and would just like to know your opinion on this diamonds worth. Please only reply if you have real experience with diamonds. Here are the specs on the diamond. I will list the price once I get a few replies lets see who can get the closest.

I hope I am getting a good deal, I have researched enough… and I think its an average price and I have shopped around. I am going to a “whole seller” so I should be saving money…..what should this diamond cost?

I am paying 4,100 for the stone and an additional 300 for a white gold band for a total of $4400. My girlfriend really likes pear shaped diamonds. I thought by going to a “whole seller” I would be getting a better deal. So you would say this price is pretty common and average and nothing special. Thanks for all your imput.

You could buy a D / Flawless, but if it’s dead, Dead, DEAD in terms of light performance, I wouldn’t pay a dime!
